Healthy energy bites

I want to finish this week with these delicious sweets, but not panic beacause it´s  low-calorie and really healthy. It is ideal to carry in the bag and enjoy during a trip or a walk, when we feel the urgent need to peck at something light to regain strength or even stave off hunger.

Lavender sugar scrub

I love finishing the week with this sugar scrub, so sweet, so white and so aromatic... before trying it out I already loved the idea of those beautiful lavender flowers mixed in the white sweetness of sugar, it had to be a wonderful scrub... and it is!! when I tried it out I knew it would be an essential basic in my bath products. Let´s go to the recipe, because this lavender & rosemary sugar scrub needs no introduction!!

Homemade & natural multipurpose cleaner

I hope you´ve had a very happy weekend! I've been really immersed in household chores and I remembered that I had to share the recipe of my all-natural & homemade "Mr Clean", my very best multipurpose cleaner that smells so delicious and doesn´t contain any toxic ingredient... What's more, if you drink it, you would enjoy its health benefits (but don´t drink it!)
So I was looking forward to Monday to share this post!

Youth elixir mask

I love clay-based masks, my favorite is the pink kaolin because it is very smooth, not only it doesn´t irritate sensitive skin but it also calms a lot. With French clay instead I have a love / hate relationship... as I don´t always get the desired results, but when a recipe with French clay works for me, the result is simply wonderful.
Before starting this anti-aging mask I had a feeling it would be very good but it was start mixing the ingredients, and I was completely sure that it would become my favorite facial mask!! Its texture is completely like a mousse, very fresh, fluffy, lovely and it smells great!!!

Romantic & bug off

Yes, it seems contradictory or at least not very compatible, romantic and repellent don´t match at all with each other! but what romantic environment can happen if you have some pesky mosquitoes unbearably buzzying around us?
I opened the season of balconies and windows open wide (surely you too) and I´m always looking for useful and natural tips to drive insects  away (and repelling them from my body too), I eventually  discovered that not only I attract mosquitoes, I am also particularly attractive to ants, wasps, bees and the whole family of flies and midges.
This DIY is ideal for terraces and balconies, but also to acclimate any room, I like so much its rustic yet romantic touch and I confess that it smells amazing. If you put this lovely jar closer to your nose, you will feel carried to a fresh grass field on a sunny day in Spring!! And when you light the candle, I can´t explain with words!! It is such a delicious and relaxing scent and apparently mosquitoes hate it!

Are your feet happy?

I hope you´ve enjoyed the weekend!! Here it has been really hot, and with summer arrives one of my most feared tortures: foot blisters and rubbing! I love to wear sandals and wedges, every year I succumb to the new tempting shoes that stores offer, and after a couple of uses I fall into my harsh reality: a pair of walks and my feet are full of blisters, chafing and real grooves in my feet...
No matter the quality of the shoe, whether it is leather or synthetic, if it is closed or open, with strips or laces, breathable or not ... everything hurts me!
So I returned to my foot soaks, and my foot care kit, that it´s really comforting. And when I was in my little homemade spa, I realized that I had never shared this recipe on this blog!! I thought to publish a couple of months ago and I forgot completely, so I think today is a good time, we don´t  need to have our feet damaged to enjoy this care, which is highly moisturizing and nourishing. I shared before a green tea foot spa recipe, you can see it here. Anyway, I´m sure you´ll love this Himalayan sal & sugar scrub and this chamomile & coconut oil moisturizing cream.

Strawberry popsicles

I can´t  explain exactly why but today´s post  makes me feel a little like Martha Stewart :D  or Martha Stewart´s apprentice at least  :D
When I got the idea of starting a blog it was clear to me that it should have two foundations in its philosophy:
  • everything should be as natural as possible, hence the theme of the blog `Don´t put on your skin what you would never put on your plate´
  • everything should be very easy to prepare, simple and with minimum ingredients possible
