Today I want to share a DIY, although it´s very simple, it holds a certain charm and relaxation, some sand, some small seashells, a bit of sea and a scented candle...
Ideal for the terrace, balcony or garden, but as it perfumes such a delightful way, it will turn any corner of the house into a cozy and intimate space.
It's just an idea, surely you make it more beautiful! What I've done is collect some tiny shells (some of them already had at home, I always go around collecting things!!), and a handful of sand. I put a few drops of vanilla oil into the sand, and placed in a large glass (it is actually a tiny fish tank). On the sides a little bit of moss (courtesy of Christmas decoration!) and some blue stones as a sea. In the center a vanilla-scented candle, and all around, the seashells.
If you can´t find sand, you can use scented sand, sold at any bazaar as well as pebbles, shells and candles.
During the day I must say that the vanilla scent perfumes the whole room... if you stop by this blog from time to time, you know how much I´m always looking for natural and homemade fresheners! So damaging are those commercial air fresheners that are determined to sell us again and again!!
At night, if you light the candle, the smell is absolutely delicious without invading the space, not tiring or cloying at all, it is so soft and pleasant!
You can try out other combinations, decorating with small pieces of wood and citrus may go great too... I can think of many ideas right now, I will surely try them out and show you later ...
I hope you have a very nice day and a happy weekend, see you on Monday with a scrub that will take us to the heart of the Caribbean! no more clues until Monday! ^^
